I like it, that's why I chose it as my nickname. Minerva is the name of ancient Roman godess of wisdom, corresponds to Greek Athena. And Athena has been my favourite Greek goddess since childhood. But as I adore Italy, I chose Minerva and not Athena.

All the languages can be considered as tools of communication, that's the major function of any language. I meant the sounding of the language, and people usually use this word-combination "nice lang" implying its phonation, not its communicative function.

As I have noiced you are talking about short forms of english language. I can say that in some situations the short forms like you-u, are very usefull for example if we type english words with help of mobile, but in such formus like our english talking club we should talk only in pure english langage. I think it to be usefull for all of us.
