I have found out very interesting information and would like to share it with u, possibly some of u already know it.
In English the word "of course" is used not in the way as in Armenian or in Russian. In English it sounds very categoric. When u answer smbd by that phrase ur massage may be interpreted as "It's obvious, can't u see or it's so clear, don't u understand?" As a result the native speaker may get offended

Not necessarily... I use that phrase a lot.. it may also be understood as "I assure you" or "don't worry" .... and of course there's always a tone that can change the "meaning"

Sure, u r right! All of us use it in some way giving some special connotation to it, The point is I just mentioned how the native speakers perceive it. The tendency viewed in English language is the usage of some other phrases instead of "of course", such phrases as "I suppose so, I think so" and these phrases do not mean that the speaker doubts in what he says.
