I don't like to commit myself about heaven and hell - you see, I have friends in both places.

In fact they use that word so often, Greeks I mean, that it lost its offensive meaning. And it's more translates as "faggot", than asshole or something else.
They say it but they don't mean it...like Russians, who use curse with every phrase, but they do not want to offend with it. They just cannot help it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MalakasMalakas (Greek: μαλάκας) is a Greek slang word, whose literal translation is wanker but the usage of the term varies. Common alternative meanings include arsehole or jerk, and the contrasting dude, or mate depending on the context.[1] It derives from the Greek word malakos (μαλακός), which means "soft" or "spoilt, well-used to luxuries of life".[2][3][4] It is one of the most frequent words picked up by tourists and travellers to Greece and is not unusual amongst the younger Greek diaspora, even when the level of Greek is low. A female form of the word exists, "malako" (Greek: μαλάκω), but is recent coinage.
I've come across a sentence I don't know how to translate. Help me, if you can. "Not since the Beatles in the 1960s has a pop group had so many number 1 hits"
